Tooth #5 is alive

I found the sharp little thing when I picked her up from school today.  Teething makes her tired, cranky and hurting.  There should be something I can do for her, but there doesn't seem to be.

I am glad daddy is here to help when she cries for an hour.

Straw

Juliet has learned how to use her sippys with the straws.  She can suck the water out of them fine, just has not realized she doesn't have to tip the cup to make the water go to the top like her other cups.  Working on it though, doesn't take her long.

She has also started pulling her diaper down in the back so she gets a baby plumber crack.  She also loves to lift shirts to find belly buttons.  She also knows where hers is.  Apple seems to be the word of the week.

She is so tired, only took 1 hour long nap today and everything is really funny because she is so tired. (Reminds dada of mommy when she is tired.)

Very Busy Saturday

Today was wild and crazy.  I can't tell you what happened to the hours today, wait yes I can.

We started the morning at 7 when Juliet decided it was time to rise and shine and start the day.  She decided that today she wanted to play with her toys in her crib.  Which means I had to transfer them in there for her to play with.  While in there she found the baby in the mirror hanging in the crib, and the light switch for her ceiling fan.  On... Off... On... Off... over and over again.  Then while I got dressed she and daddy played hugs.  She would run away then run back and give him a hug.  If he would ask for one she would give it to him.

Next it was time to get in our new pink dress and pink shoes and go to Meme's company Easter party at Old McDonald's Farm in Humble.  We met Meme, Auntie Angie and Drew there.  Juliet got to hunt eggs and after a little coaxing picked up four eggs that mommy had protected from other kids so she could have a few.   (I even let her cross the line to the bigger kid side to acquire one of her four.)  She is 15 months, so what.  We are going to play find the eggs at home so she can have as many as she wants.  I had not seen Drew since Juliet's birthday party and he has grown alot.  He will eat anything and ate a hot dog for lunch.  Juliet ate my hamburger bun and part of Drew's hot dog bun.  She still isn't that fond of food.  We tried to get a picture of them together.  I took close to 200 pictures and couldn't get them to look at me at the same time.  Oh well.

Next we went into Liberty for the annual Liberty Jubilee.  We went and picked up Mama and went to see what was going on.  I won 1st place on 2 of the pictures that I entered in the photo contest.  I am so excited.  I ended up finding an egg decoration for the yard and Juliet got 2 bigger bibs, an outfit and 2 hair bows, oh yeah and a bubble gun.  Can't forget that because it caused belly laughs!  Then it was time to go, she was cranky.  We went back to Mama and Papas where we tried to swing, not having that, and mommy needed to get heading home.  Juliet was unfazed that I was leaving.

Jon and I watched New Moon tonight, I liked it.  I like when movies stay true to the book for most part.

Ba-ag

We were working with Juliet last night on words and Jon would tell her bag and she would say ba-ag.  We are really trying to get her to say her words.  Everything is just ba to her.  The Dr. said between 16-18 months they SHOULD be saying about 15 words.  Yes every kid is different, but this one just doesn't want to talk.  She likes ba.

She is on just milk now.  No more formula.  Nice!!!

She has decided that the wagon is more fun if she can push it instead of ride in it.  The outside is the best.  She loves being outside, and cries when we have to come inside.  This past weekend she brought me her jacket thinking that would help getting to go out.  Raining and cold doesn't allow us to play outside.  The bumbo has become the best toy she has, she gets really mad if I put it up or put one of her babies in it.  She sits in it and then can get herself out of it now.  Her nap mat is really fun as long as the blanket and pillow aren't attached.  If you snap them to the mat she gets really mad and takes them off.  She received a ladybug puppet from the NC grandparents and we played alot with that last night.  Great fun because it squeaks.

I am gathering the materials to make her a photo album.  It is only a year overdue.

I didn't know we had a puppy

Juliet will stand at the front door, look in and bark.  She hears the dogs in the neighborhood barking and she says woof woof with them.  Of course we encourage it by saying it and she repeats it.  She also pees on the rug if you leave her without a diaper on for very long...

I didn't realize we had a puppy...

Pink Eye and Strep

Juliet has pink eye in both eyes and strep throat.  We took her to to the doctor yesterday because she has been coughing and a runny nose that wasn't getting any better.  I had pink eye med at the house so we had already started that, but were so surprised about the strep.  Doctor said it was very rare for a kid under 4 to have strep and she probably got it from a kid at school's older sibling.

Happy St. Patty's day.  Here are some pics from Juliet's bunny shoot!  The puppy reminded of Stanford if you are wondering.

My Friend Landon

Today Juliet took me for a walk around the cul-de-sac.  We walked half way around then turned around and came home.  She then noticed Landon and his parents playing outside and decided that she needed to go be a social butterfly.  Landon had a table that had a place for water and was splashing and pouring water all over himself.  Juliet joined in the fun and before long there were two very wet babies.  They had so much fun though.  She really enjoys the warm weather and we play almost an hour everyday after work and school.

Found out tonight that she likes meatballs with sauce from my spaghetti.  Ate 2 of my 4 and still wanted more.  Will probably change her mind tomorrow.

Juliet found a blue soft baby at school that she has attached herself to.  We can not leave the baby there, we have to take it home and she will not put it down at school.  They tell me she eats and sleeps with it.   She loves babies now.

Juliet can almost say bath.  We say let's go take a bath and she tries to say it and runs for the stairs.  She also tries up and down.  She plays up/down in the bath tub and tries to repeat after us.  During bath when I put soap on the rag she will slide her hands together like she is rubbing the rag together to make the soap have bubbles.  She loves to mimic.

We noticed a discharge from her right eye and she has a yucky nose, so it will probably mean a dr visit tomorrow.   Will keep you updated.

Bunny pictures should be in at the end of the week.

Love to all, Laura

She found BBQ sauce

So I have always said that Juliet will only eat nuggets from Chick-Fil-A.  Well last night she found their BBQ sauce.  She ate 3 whole nuggets, which is a ton of food for her.  At nugget 2 she noticed my sauce and she stuck her whole hand in it.  Needless to say she didn't like it at first but when I showed her how to get a little she had to have some on all her nuggets.

Today at church we left her in the nursery during church and during bible study.  Jon and I went to a bible study group for the first time.  We checked on her in between and noticed her and another girl (who was much bigger and older) playing at a play kitchen.  We noticed that the bigger girl did not want to let Juliet play with the doors that opened and closed.  So with a little pushing and shoving our little bruiser got her way and the other girl walked away, crying.  Guess you just had to be there to watch her fight for what she wanted and to win.  :)
Church wore her out.   She missed her morning nap and slept almost 3 hours this afternoon.

Giggles

Tonight has been nice.  The usual cranky baby has been replaced with one who wanted to laugh, giggle and eat chicken tonight.  She has started loving on her babies as I call them.  Her stuffed animals and baby dolls.  She will pick them up and hold them to her and move her whole body in a hug.  Tonight it was her panda and her tiger.  She would hug them and then bring them to me so I could hug them.  This put her into a fit of giggles, it was great fun for her.  Daddy was a step stool tonight and of course that was entertainment all it's own.

She has found my purses and carries them around.  She has discovered that ink pens have caps that come off.  JOY!  She has learned to put buckles together.  There is a buckle on her car seat, I can do it myself THANK YOU!, and there are two on her Mickey harness.  She gets mad though when she can't get the buckle back apart.  She carries that Mickey around like it is her best friend.  Of course there is still the shape sorter that we must play with every day.  She doesn't seem to mind getting dressed anymore, she doesn't fight me but would still prefer to go with just a diaper.  She no longer pulls her bows out, but leaves them alone now and wants to wear her sunglasses.  Wow, too much growing for mommy.

We got her Easter dress this weekend which is too precious!  Well, are, we ended up getting two.  Check out flickr, all the Hawaii pics are up.
