Sweet Juliet Claire is 3

Where has the time gone?  Seems like yesterday you joined our family.  You are a precious gift and we love you so much and are so proud of you! You woke this morning to a room filled with balloons.  All I heard through the monitor was MOMMY, MOMMY come get me.  I didn't know if you were scared or excited.  Excited won, you couldn't get enough of the balloons.
We had Chick-fil-a for breakfast and lunch, where we opened presents and played.  Then it was on to Liberty to see Mama and Papa and celebrate with them.  You had a fun filled 3rd birthday.  I was so excited that you seemed to understand what was going on and that the day was for you.

At 3 you:
Can spell your name and recognize it when it is written
Know your first and last name, along with the whole family
You know when your birthday is
Favorite colors are pink and purple
You have an active and entertaining imagination, your favorite thing right now is to rescue your ponies with pixie dust and the phrase "pixie dust away" (From Izzy on Jake and the neverland pirates)
You love your little brother, just don't like him to touch you
You know the days of the week and the months of the year
You have an incredible memory, especially with books and your memory verses
You love to play outside
Art is your favorite part of the school day
You love to sing songs and know most of the words to alot of songs, especially your school songs
You give really awesome hugs
You dislike being corrected, even for minor things, you cry very easily, but as for now mommy and daddy hugs and kisses fix most things
You have really gotten into having Buddy the Elf around, your eagle eye spots him very quick
You have recently found a love for chocolate and chocolate cake, no icing though
You love chicken nuggets, steak, strawberries, cheese, crackers, fruit snacks, gummie bears, apple juice, Papasito's rice, grapes,
You love dance class and did awesome in your first recital
You loved decorating the Christmas tree this year
Says "I think Yeah and Maybe Nope",  "I can not believe it",
You like girly things and really like it when you and your doll Lisa match clothing
You really love your daddy, he is special.

You are a really sweet girl, we love you so much.  Happy Birthday Princess Juliet!

Busy Busy

Where on earth have I been?  I had no idea I hadn't blogged!

So I wish I had a video of every cute thing the kids are doing to show you, but you would be doing nothing all day long but watching videos.

Juliet is now a pirate princess; just ask her she will tell you.  She loves Izzy off Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  She will play with her my little ponies and they will be stranded or in danger and one will have to save them.  She will throw pixie dust on them and say “pixie dust away” and they fly to safety.   She knows all their names and will play by herself with them for quite a while.  She had her first dance recital last Tuesday and she loved it.  She seems to be a natural at being cute and following instructions.  She did so good, I did not know what to expect from her and she did great!!

We also had her 3rd birthday party at Jumpalooza so now she tells everyone she is 3.  We just let it go.   She loved her party, some of her friends from school came and so did Drew and all the kids loved jumping.

She has added to her list of Christmas songs for her party at school.  Now we know Santa Claus is coming to town, Jingle Bells and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
Nate is getting so big, put him down on his back he rolls over to his tummy, is fine for a minute and then screams because he can't get back over to his back.  He apparently rolls around in his bed at school and sleeps on his tummy.  Not at home he prefers his back and a very warm blanket.  He prefers to sit or stand but not for long periods of time.  He has started laughing, it is such a precious sound, especially after lately when he wants to scream for long periods of time.  He is also super ticklish.  We have started him on solid foods, he seems to love carrots and apples and tolerates peaches, HATES sweet peas.
He played Baby Jesus in a Christmas Play put on by Northeast Christian Academy.  A friend's little girl was Mary.  He was so good, only whimpered a little bit when he started to slide into a laying position rather than sitting.

We took the kids to the zoo, Meme's company deal for the kids.  It was Juliet, Drew, Cooper, and Nate, that is in age order.  The two older had a BLAST while the babies slept.  Yes, Nate slept thru his first zoo trip.  As always, Juliet loved the giraffes and this time was not at all scared of the elephants.  I was so proud of her.
I don't think I have mentioned our new house guest until Christmas.  His name is Buddy, he is an Elf on the Shelf.  He watches the kids to see if they are bad or good and reports to Santa every night on how they behaved.  Juliet is having a blast with him, Nate of course has no clue what is going on.  You can follow Buddy by clicking on his name to flickr.

Three days and I still haven't posted this, here it comes, so much left out it makes me sad,  but I will just make a list and post that!

Our North Carolina Trip - Part 2

Ok, I should probably finish this post!! (over a month later)

On Wednesday we made the pies for Thanksgiving, of course Missy was in the middle of it all.  She helped make both the pies, one pecan and one pumpkin.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, the weather was beautiful, a little windy, but the sun was shining and it was a pretty day.  We cooked, ate, played, slept and played some more!  We had something on our menu that most people probably did not.  We grilled shrimp to go with the turkey and boy were they yummy! After lunch we had to go back to the park, we were leaving the next day.

Friday we packed and got ready to head home.  Denny pulled out his train to get it set up and that entertained Juliet alot!  That child loves trains, I guess we are going to have to get her a train of some sorts.  Nothing as big or elaborate as he has, but something to keep her entertained.  Before we left we took some pictures out on the deck.  Again, of course, the weather was beautiful!
Then it was time to go home!  Flying started out ok, then Nate lost it, we had upgraded to 1st class thinking the more room would help, I think he was just tired of being held and ready to go to sleep.  Once we got going everything was fine and he slept the entire way home.
Needless to say, prissy liked the bigger seats and that they gave her chocolate chip cookies whenever she wanted them.  It was a fun trip, we are just glad to be home and in our own beds.  Everyone slept very good!!

Our North Carolina Trip - Part 1

Oh My, I never blogged the entire time we were in North Carolina!!  It was a busy trip and without wireless most of the trip I was tied to a cable and didn't want to do it!!  So here I am now, sit back and enjoy!!  We left Saturday morning and took 2 flights to get into Wilmington NC where Denny met us at the airport there.  Denny had never met Nate so this was a special trip for that in itself.  My kids are awesome travelers, Juliet had her own seat and she liked looking out the window and watching movies on the phones with her headphones Mama and Papa got her and Nate either slept, ate or laughed and cooed at us.
So Gramma and Granddaddy (Lynn and Denny), or G&G for short while I type, live in a small little town called Hampstead, NC.  It's very much the quiet town that is about 20 minutes from the beach, NICE!  We stayed with them at their home, which in my opinion could be two homes in one.  We had the entire ground level to ourselves which was nice when the kids were sleeping we could visit upstairs and they could see the kids any time they wanted.  Gramma and the kids had a blast sitting on the swing just unwinding.  Nate got a hand full of Juliet's hair for the first time and she was not impressed with this new thing he found he can do.

This place of our own came in so handy when Juliet woke up Saturday night throwing up, she and I ended up sleeping on a pallet I made on the floor of the bathroom like my mom used to do for us.  We don't know if it was a bug or just the trip or what, but she was fine the next morning, although it did spread through the house and the only person spared was Nate, thank you God.
Sunday was a day of rest, Jon and I tried to recover from Saturday night while the kids played with G&G, you couldn't tell Juliet had been sick.  Gramma had this little Southwest plane that made noises and Juliet just got the biggest kick out of that little plane.  It was so cute because she made this game up, on her own, she gave all her babies to Granddad and then she would turn the plane on and fly one baby at a time from Granddad to the table and back.  Wow, what a super imagination!!  Oh and Juliet and the dog Amy were fast friends, they loved each other.

Monday we woke up this way:  Juliet:  "It's time to wake up", Mommy: "Why?", Juliet: "Because the sun is up".  Silly mommy, you know better than to ask a logic question to a 3 year old.  So we started the day on the swing outside me feeding Nate and Juliet watching Little Einsteins on my phone.  Leave her and Gramma alone for a minute and they are singing Santa Claus is coming to town together, it was really cute and apparently she picked the words up really fast!!
Tuesday we went to the beach, boy that did not go over good at all.  Juliet was scared of the water for some reason.  She kept saying it was going to get her.  Who knows, I don't ask questions and she was probably just sleepy.  The beach was beautiful and true to the Atlantic, it was cold.
And the biggest news of Tuesday is that Nate rolled over from his front to his back, you know that he doesn't like being on his tummy, so we were chatting about nothing and he decided he was going to put himself on his back.  Mommy was so excited!!  To make it even better Wednesday he went from his back to his front then back over.  He hasn't wanted to do any more showing off, but we all know he can do it, mommy has it on video!!  He started this thing where he would reach out to the side of the pack and play and run his fingers over the mesh on the side.  It is a sensory thing, I know, the feel and the sound it made, but buddy bear did you have to do it at 4am???  He did not sleep well while we were gone and so neither did mommy or daddy.  Juliet had her own bed in another room so she slept fine!!
So the local grocery store, Harris Teeter had these awesome little people shopping carts they called Customer in Training.  She loved pushing this cart around the store!!  Why are these not common anywhere else?  What a fabulous idea!  Isn't she just the cutest thing you have ever seen!!!

Ok, this post is long enough, see part 2!

Nate rolled over!!

I didn't even get it posted yesterday that Nate rolled over from his belly to his back when this afternoon I put him down on the floor and looked over and he was rolling onto his belly. Then he decided he didn't want to be on his belly and rolled back onto his back. Sniff sniff, my little man is learning new things and growing so fast!!! So proud of his accomplishment!! Now if he would only show daddy.

Smiles and Laughs for Mommy

I am so used to Nate being in a terrible mood when I see him after work it's kinda sad,. I want giggles and smiles from my little man.  I got my wish yesterday.  I am sick now so I went to the Dr and by CVS to get my meds.  They of course told me 25 minutes so I snuck over to the school to see Nate.  He was in his bouncer and when I leaned over him he broke into this huge grin and laughed at me.  I was in heaven.  I picked him up and every time I would kiss him or make a silly face he would laugh, it so made my day.  I think it made his teachers day too because they were all smiling too.  Of course when we got home he was tired and cranky just like everyday.  I know this will pass, but it makes for a long night.

How often

How often do you get to sit and reflect on the day that you had or the week you are having?  With 2 small children, one a very active almost 3 and a 4 month old, not very often I would answer.  Well tonight that changed.  I was sitting here, a little out of sorts of the events that have transpired over the last 36 hours.  Little man is in the swing because that is the only place he can get sleep and Juliet is asleep in her bed and I am watching her on the monitor.  I realize how truly blessed I am.  I called work today ready for just about anything and they told me, "take care of your children, we will work everything out."  How relieving that is to me.  My job is important to this family and the lifestyle that we live, I really do like ExxonMobil and am so proud of the work I have done there over the last 10 years, and this shows me how they really do care about their employees even though sometimes we don't feel it.  Both of my babies seem to have serious respiratory problems when the cold starts setting in and there is nothing any of us can do about that except to take care of them and have wonderful doctors who get them better.  I am so blessed in these aspects that God has provided me awesome care for my children in their doctors.  Juliet was 36 1/2 inches and 32 pounds and Nate was 14 pounds 13 ounces at the doctor yesterday.
Nate and I spent today laying in bed, watching Harry Potter, last one part 1, and just being Mommy and Buddy Bear. He started taking things I had in my hand and holding them and shaking them.  I did not have to put them in his hand, he would just grab them.  He also thinks the nebulizer is a toy that he must take and try to put in his mouth!!!  I missed Juliet terribly but she loves school and is super smart, and today happened to be dance!!  I am so proud of her in her love to learn.  She got a new verse in Puggles and already knows it.  God made me in his image, Genesis 1:27.  We get her to say the new one and then the old one.  What a smart girl who can say both verses like that!!  I am so glad we started her on this journey for her spiritual growth.
The reflections of today shouldn't come as a surprise, they are the everyday, but I never want my days to be just days, I am truly blessed.   Jon is such a wonderful husband, father, provider, Juliet is my princess, my light and my headache at times, Nate is mommy's little man and my snuggle buddy, I am so glad they were all given to me, chosen especially for me, they are priceless gifts.
So good night, tomorrow is another day!!

Starting Early

Nate developed a cough that turned nasty on Sunday so we decided to take him to the Dr today.  Of course Dr. Ori walks in and says, "That's a RSV cough if I've ever heard one." Great, starting early little man.  Don't Google RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus) it will scare you, just know it is an infection of the lungs that can cause big problems if not treated.  Yes, he is more prone to it since he was premature.  So armed with 3 prescriptions for Nate and 1 for Juliet we are 5 days on the nebulizer and prednisone with little man.  He hates that stuff just as bad as everyone else, and we are only on day one.  Since RSV is highly contagious, Mommy and Nate are home together this week, so glad we didn't go to church yesterday!

Keep us all in your prayers!!  Love to all!

Info on RSV:  All you need to know.
RSV is the most common germ that causes lung and airway infections in infants and young children. Most infants have had this infection by age 2. Outbreaks of RSV infections most often begin in the fall and run into the spring.  RSV often spreads very rapidly in crowded households and day care centers. The virus can live for a half an hour or more on hands. The virus can also live for up to 5 hours on counter tops and for several hours on used tissues.

Happy Halloween

This year Nate was a dinosaur and Juliet was Rapunzel from Tangled.
Both were super cute!  They were in the costume parade at school, then we took them to the fall festival at the church, then to 2 houses in the cul-de-sac.  They did Halloween all day long and Juliet never took her costume off.  Nate was such a trooper sitting in his stroller in his costume watching the people.  Juliet had her first chocolate bar and a blast doing everything at the festival, even the wagon ride.  It was a fun day for two precious little people!

Juliet

Before I forget these precious things,

We walked outside tonight to say bye to friends and we were looking up at the stars.  I asked her, "Juliet, who made the stars?"  She looked up and said "God made the stars"!  Good job Juliet Claire and good job Mrs. Cathy, her Awana's teacher!!
She also knows her months of the year and her days of the week (to the tune of Adam's family), days of the week, (snap snap), days of the week (snap snap), days of the week, days of the week, days of the week, (snap snap).  There's Sunday and there's Monday, there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday, there's Thursday and there's Friday and then comes Saturday.  (Repeat the days of the week)  Cute, catchy and apparently works!
She loves to sing, she knows most of the songs on her school cd, she loves head, shoulders, knees and toes, deep and wide and Jesus Loves Me.  It's a sing-a-long in the car now!
She has also decided that she likes the candies that you put on top of cakes and PEZ!  Who is this child?
If I haven't said it before, Juliet loves art!  I arrived at school twice this week before art time and I had to take the project home with us so she could do it and take it back with her.

These are precious memories that I don't want to forget, and I will if I don't write them down!!

Time to blog

It seems like I say it over and over again, I just feel like I have no time anymore.  But here I go with an update that is full of what the kids are doing!!!  One thing that is the same about both kids is they love being outside.  Both love to be on the swing and Nate likes the wagon while Juliet rides her bike.  I think we are in for some cooler weather so maybe we can be out more.

As we were driving home from Wal-Mart, I had Juliet's music CD on and she was happily singing along with the songs she knew, not just some of the words, but all the words to the music.  It amazes me how much her little brain absorbs.  I also have to be very careful of what I say because she listens to everything and repeats most of it.  She looks at her name and spells it most of the time correctly.  She counts to twenty regularly and if you start her on twenty and thirty she will count them.  She also counts to 10 in spanish and will repeat the days of the week if you tell them to her.  She also is never quiet, she is always talking.  I hope you never have to think about anything when she is around because she will talk your ear off in a heartbeat.  The little boy across the street had his birthday party today and his dad always gets a bouncy house, she cried when we got home because I wouldn't let her go over until she was invited.  Of course she was and enjoyed bouncing so much we are going to have one for her birthday party. Speaking of little boys across the street, Landon calls Juliet his girlfriend and Kasen tells me he likes Juliet.  We had Juliet's 1st haircut but I will post that on it's own.

Nate is so full of changes, he is 3 months now and weighs 13.4 pounds and is 24.5 inches long.  The biggest change with Nate is that now he is smiling and cooing at everyone instead of just staring at you.  He still looks around when he hears Jon or I in another room or out of his sight, but is happy when he actually sees us.  If you talk directly to him and he likes it he will smile, if he keeps being happy he will start "talking" to you.  The noises are so precious.  Today I leaned over his bouncer and he lifted his arms out like he was reaching for me and smiled.  We moved to the medium flow nipples and the bigger bottles today.  It seemed like he was getting tired during feedings so I thought it might be time.  We also started more activity at tummy time instead of just laying there sleeping.  He holds his head and feet up and will scoot around in a semi circle if he is mad enough.  He hates being in a room by himself and as I type this he is laying on the bathroom floor on the boppy while Juliet takes a bath.  Right in the middle of it all and is so happy.

So much going on and not enough time or words to say it all!!  Kids are growing like weeds and keeping us constantly on our toes!!

Here is the kid's school pic, it turned out precious!!

Love to all,
Laura

Those moments that won't last

It was a typical Monday morning, rush rush, get everyone up and ready for work and school and get out the door so mommy can be to work at a decent time.  All that came to a halt when Juliet decided she wanted some mommy snuggles.  No time schedule in the world would make me miss that.  I went in to wake her up with my usual, Juliet wake up and when that didn't work I started singing Rise and Shine, she just stared at me and rolled over.  So I asked her if she wanted mommy to hold her, that worked, into my arms she went.  I took her into our room because Nate was in the bed and I didn't want to leave him alone.  I sat in the glider and we rocked for a little while with her snuggled on my shoulder and me just enjoying the quiet mommy / daughter time with my very active princess.  I never get to rock her anymore so it was a special treat for mommy.  These little things won't last so I have to enjoy them while I can.

Time passes so quickly

Every day I tell myself that I am going to take 20 minutes and post an update on the blog and every day it seems there are never those spare 20 minutes.  Now my laptop tells me that it is reaching the end of it's battery life so I am stuck close to a plug.  Whine Whine Whine, I am over it!

Congratulations to James and Brandi Oreschnigg, they got married on the 13th.  We wish you all the happiness!!

This weekend we had a sip-n-see for Nate.  A sip-n-see is a baby shower with the baby there.  It is really fun because everyone gets to see the baby and love on them.  It was at Aunt Jessie's house and the theme of course was blue and dinosaurs.  Thank you to everyone who came and those ladies who helped give the party.  It was very special and very appreciated.  We got a ton of precious clothing, a quilt,  and a lot of diapers!!  We are so blessed by our generous friends.

Here is Nate in one of the precious new outfits he got.  Granny gave him this and he looks like a little doll baby in it!!  I have also never seen so many dinosaur outfits!!  I am so ready for him to grow into them, but not to fast little man!!
We hung his curtains in his room, I LOVE THEM, and I put the mobile in his bed.  He sleeps there every night.  It helps him and me get a little bit of sleep, little being the word here.  We have also been sitting in the bumbo more.  Since he will not do tummy time, this is how we are working those neck muscles.
He is such the mommy's boy, he looks for me all the time and he turns toward the sound of my voice.  Not saying he doesn't do this for Jon, people just say he does it more for me.  He also recognizes Juliet and will calm when she talks to him.  He has started cooing a little too, although you have to catch him in the right frame of mind.
Speaking of Miss Juliet, she is such the little princess.  Friday morning she picked out her purple shirt, because her baby doll was wearing purple and then before I knew it she had her pink pettiskirt on!!
Everything is a bracelet to her, early last week she had a Orbitz cup label with her name on it, a case for hand sanitizer, and 6 Big Apple Adventure (VBS) silly bandz on as bracelets.  She hasn't been feeling good, her ears are still bothering her and she had to have a flu shot on Friday.  You can tell when she is really tired because other than being so whiny you can't stand to be around her, she plays with our ears.  Not her own, when she hugs us she will play with one of our ears.  If Nate cries she will run and hug him saying "I right here Nate."  She has her first haircut appointment this week, I am using the lady who does my hair because it is a private place with no screaming kids or other people around.  Last week during bath one night I sat on the side of the tub and made her a"bridge" to swim under my legs.  She started saying "time tunnel, time tunnel", from Dinosaur train.  Music started at school and they send a copy of the CD home with each of the kids.  Well, she has her favorites and has no clue what they are called or what number they are on the CD.  She will say I wanna hear the blankey song, which is not called the blankey song and is number 4, then she will say comin' round the mountain, you know that one, which is 25 and mommy has to sing along, then she wants to hear the yak song, which is 15.  Sigh, and it changes every semester, remember she is in this class for a school year.
She was so good at the party, she really loves Cailin, (James' daughter) and Cailin is so good with her.  They made crafts out of the tissue paper from the presents.  How cute is that!!  Kept her entertained and out of everything, and her mind off the fact that the puppies were not there.
Tonight we took advantage of the 25% trade-in discount at babies r us and got Juliet her booster seat! She picked it out so it's her fault in 5 years when she says "I don't want pink".  She was very insistent that she get the pink seat.

I got their Halloween costumes in this week, Juliet is going to be Rapunzel and Nate is going to be a dinosaur.

OK, it is so past mommy's bed time, I am going to sleep.  Love to all!!
Remember to check Flickr, I post more there than here.

Short and quick

8 week checkup today, Nate is 10.5 pounds and 23 inches long.

Dr. Goldberg told me that he did not hear the heart murmur this time.  Thank you God for small miracles.  He got 3 shots that he enjoyed so much he cried till he turned beet red and held his breath.  We go back in 10 days when he will get 3 more and sister will get her flu shot.   Here are 2 pics of the kids from the weekend.  Nate is 8 weeks old and Juliet is having a blast jumping on the air mattress in the living room.

Where has the time gone?

Oh my goodness, it's been 2 weeks since I have posted!! SORRY!  Not really, we have been having a blast with the kids and it's kinda hard to get on here and update.  I should also be asleep, but my hear hurts and it makes it hard to relax.  If you haven't been keeping up with Flickr, you are missing out.

Let's see, Juliet started Awana's this past week.  She is in Puggles and the memory verse for this 6 weeks is "God created the heavens and the earth, Genesis 1:1".  She will repeat it to me when I say it (she will say Genesis 111), then tells me I have to give her a cookie.  That was the reward for saying it to her teacher.  We went to Jumpalooza for a birthday party last week and she had a blast.  It is one of those places with a dozen or more bouncy houses and slides, it was hard to get her to leave.  She has had a very bad ear infection that we are trying to get rid of, it seems to want to linger and cause her a lot of pain.  I couldn't understand why I could only find a few burp cloths when I knew I had more, well, she is using them as baby doll blankets.  Speaking of baby dolls, her American Girl doll is the first to have a name.  It is Lisa, don't ask I have no clue, I was asking her what her baby's name was, she looked at me puzzled, I gave her a list of 4-5 names and that is the one she chose.  We now only call the baby Lisa and she knows which one we are talking about.  Preschool has been a huge success, today she recognized the numbers 1-5 by sight.  Jon and I are always amazed when she does this because when we try to work with her she usually tells us NO!  Stinker!!  She and Jon are having a camp out on the living room floor tonight, like they did last week.  Tomorrow I am going to take her to Hobby Lobby and get yellow yarn to make her a Rapunzel braid like the one I found online.  I think she will get a kick out of it.  We will see, you never know with her.  Also, what is up with the meowing?  The child meows all the time.

Nate seems to have a cold or a sinus infection, he has nice green stuff in his nose.  It makes it hard for him to sleep so I propped him up tonight hoping it will help.  He has been doing very good at school and had no problems adjusting to the teachers.  It seems to have been easier on me to leave him that it was for Juliet.  He is holding his head up very well for good chunks of time.  He even sat in the bumbo for a few minutes this afternoon.  He now follows our voices when we talk around him and turns to look at us.  I was sitting up holding him while he slept the other night and all the sudden he smiled really big and kinda laughed.  It was so cute and funny all at the same time.  He is totally on formula now, we are done with breast milk.  The curtains for his room came in, Thanks Mama and Papa!!, can't wait to see them hung, I love them!, got to find a rod and get them on the wall.

I know it seems like this is mostly about Juliet, but at this stage, it's going to be.  I start back to work full time on Tuesday, glad it's a short week!!

Love to all, I am gonna try to sleep!

Six weeks ago today we became a family of 4, Jon and I became parents to 2 kids instead of 1 and we started on a new turn in this adventure of parenting.  Tomorrow we start another.  Juliet will start preschool and Nate will start attending school too.  I am unprepared for this.  I am not ready to go back to work and leave him with someone else.  Right now my mind is racing with what-if's and stresses, so I have had to stop, pray and restart a few times tonight.  (Nathan told us in church today that is how we are supposed to handle the stresses and uncertainties in our lives.  God is in charge of everything and I have to remember that.)
Updates on the kids:
Juliet will stay in the preschool class for the school year.  She loves art and will have more of a structured day.  They will introduce spanish, technology, and we will have homework (reviewing what they learn) and they will start reading, writing and math.  Juliet played peekaboo with the baby monitor on Saturday morning. She will turn it on and say peekaboo, I see those eyes. Just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.
She is such the helper but so rough. We have to watch her constantly.  I have also signed her up for Awana's at church.  Every week she will have a bible verse to learn and recite.
Nate has found ceiling fans. They fascinate him, he will sit and stare at one for a long time.   He has a very laid back personality.  He only gets mad when he is hungry or you change his diaper.  He weighs 8.8 lbs and he is starting to look like a little chunky monkey.  We started rice cereal at night and are going to put him in his bed because he is a noisy little boy and mommy doesn't get any sleep.  He has what is called a normal (innocent) heart murmur. Dr thinks it should be gone by next visit. Please keep him in your prayers.
Wish us all luck as we start back to the real world, should be fun!

Love, Laura

So, is it harder now with two?

I get this question a lot, and yes it is harder with two, it's not double the work, it's more.  We have a very active toddler and a newborn.
We have noticed a slide backwards in Juliet over the last week or so.  She has regressed in her bedtime routine and is very hard to wake up in the morning and over the last day or so has been having potty issues.  She doesn't seem to want to tell us she needs to go.  She is very "I need my mommy daddy" and that gets hard when we are trying to take care of the baby or get her settled for the night.  We are trying to give her the one on one attention she needs without letting her run the show.
Nate is a very finicky eater.  One bottle he will take 4 ozs and sleep or stare at you for 3 hours and the next he will take 1 and be up every hour only taking 1 oz at a time.  He wants to be held or laying very close to you.  He has also learned what his voice is and that it usually makes someone come and get him.  He is also a spitter, you never know when he is going to throw up on you.   Nine times out of ten if you are dressed ready to walk out the door you will be changing your clothing. Oh yeah, and he likes his thumb!
It is taking some time to get used to having an infant in the house again, and our good little girl is giving us a run for our money now, but we are going to survive this.  She will learn that her position has not been taken, it just has to be shared.

Big girls wear panties to bed

Juliet told me last night that she wanted to wear panties to bed instead of a pull up. I gave it a 50 / 50 chance that I would be changing sheets last night. Jon was more optimistic because he said that her diaper is always dry for him. She went almost 11 hours and was dry this morning. I am so proud of her!! We have had regression with bedtime routine and I was so afraid potty training would be the same but she has it mastered it seems.

I am so proud of you Juliet Claire!!

I joined again this year

I have neglected my photography greatly since becoming a mommy.  There is so little time to devote to it and yes it does take time.  It's not just find a pretty spot and take a picture.  I joined the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk on October 1.  This is 2 hours of me, my camera, and about 50 other photogs roaming around the Montrose area, so watch out for people if you are driving in that area that day.  This will be my 3rd year of participating, at least this year should be cooler!

Our little family of four

Nathaniel came home from the hospital Monday night, he spent 16 days in the NICU.  Thank you Lord for healing our little boy so we could have our family home together, and thank you so much for all the family and friends who have supported us through this time.  We could not have gotten through this trying time without all the love and prayers that have come our way.

It has been a huge adjustment in our house to have an infant in it again.  Feedings every 3 hours and diapers were a thing of the past here.  Now there is a little person who depends on Jon and me for everything while a very demanding toddler still tries to rule!  She loves her little brother so much and sometimes a little too much.  This is a huge adjustment for her and you can really see it in her bedtime routine.  She really wants mommy and daddy more than ever.  At school Thursday she told the teachers she was not moving classes she was staying with Mrs. Roach.  (It is not time for her to move, but 6 of her friends are moving).  There is so much change in her life right now.  It's OK Nate is a common phrase that comes out of her mouth when he cries.  She is included in almost everything we do with Nate from feeding to changing, we let her help us so she doesn't feel left out.

We took Juliet to the circus on Sunday, it was so extremely nice to have something normal to do.  She really enjoyed the first half of the show, but since she had not gotten a nap, she started to freak when it was time to go back in for the second half.  We made it through the first act of the second half, got to see an elephant and ponies, and we left to go to the hospital.  Juliet got an elephant as her souvenir from the show, I thought she was going to get one of the light up toys, but she got to choose.

OK I have been trying to post this for 3 days, I am just gonna hit post, I know it jumps around and I am sorry.

It's been a very long week

It's been a long, stressful and tiring week and we don't have a clear end in site.

Today was day 9 in the NICU.  We started out thinking that Nate's only concern was going to be his oxygen levels, but that quickly became only one of his problems.  About mid last week he developed a fever and none of the cultures have come back to tell us anything, be it a virus or bacterial.  He is back on IV medication.  We have ruled out meningitis, thank you Lord for watching over him in that way.  Next he started spitting up bile so they did X-Rays which of course showed nothing and they did an upper GI today and we are waiting on the doctor to call with the results of that test.  He is on no feeds until they can get the spitting up to stop.  I am just waiting on a very unhappy baby to surface because he can't eat.  Please keep our little buddy in your prayers, you can tell he doesn't feel good and that hurts mommy and daddy.

Miss priss is such a character!  She will go in our closet and hide behind the door and yell come find me. If you say where's Juliet she will giggle.   Her curtains are also a great source of fun for her.  She will sit behind them but stick her feet out the bottom or she will pull them up over her head to make a hat, (goofball!!)  She has started trying knock knock jokes. It was knock knock, whose there, a cow, a cow who? A moo cow. Pretty good for 2.5 year old!  We had our first shath (shower bath combo), she told me that it was raining in her bath.  She tries to bathe herself, she can do part of her legs and her tummy and don't help me or I will scream NO.  Got in the car to go to school and she told Jon, Nate sits there.  We had thought he was going to get to come home so we had put his seat in the car last week.  Her newest sayings are Too bad and it's ok.  The it's OK gets old when every time I cough, sneeze, laugh or cry she asks, you OK mommy, but I live with it.  She's a sweet precious baby girl.  The highlight of our visit to see Nate was when Juliet looked at him and said there's his titty and pointed to it.  Jon and I about fell on the floor laughing.

Jon and I are hanging in there, this is a very rough time for us and we appreciate all the love and support we are getting.  If we haven't told you thank you personally, I'm sorry, we really do appreciate every kind word, thought and prayer.  We are learning so much about our limitations and how much we can handle.  We are also learning how to worry, but still be happy attentive parents for Juliet.

Jessie sent me this today after her visit.  It is so hard to remember that we are not in control and we have to trust that Jesus is taking care of us all and that he has a plan for this little boy and for our family.  Thanks Jess, Love you.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice (Thank you gracious Lord for our precious Nathaniel!). Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (PRAY!). And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9

Here he is!

Welcome to the world sweet baby boy Nathaniel Jack.
He arrived Sunday July 10, 2011 (surprise that's 4.5 weeks early) at 4:25 am.  He is 6.14 lbs and 19.5 inches long.  He is perfect, we are so lucky to have him.

Saturday I couldn't understand why I was in so much pain and was not getting any relief.  I was on bed rest so I had been taking it easy, laying on the couch or floor with Juliet.  Around 4 pm I just couldn't stand it any longer so I called the on call number for Dr. Gunn.  Luckily she was at the hospital and told me to come in.  Mom came to the house to help me get to the hospital while Jon got Juliet settled with Aunt Jessie.  (She had a fun sleep over night with Aunt Jessie, Uncle Derek, Stanford and Daisy) We got to the hospital and into a room and were told, "we're gonna have a baby tonight" because Dr. Gunn was not going to stop my labor.  It was a very long night and since I had been in so much pain through the day I was glad for the relief of meds.  Labor did not progress quickly and around 3 she broke my water to speed things up and found that the placenta had started to detach from the uterus, (not good and may have been the cause of all my pain).  I started pushing around 4:10 ish and by 4:25 he was out and the pediatric NICU team was checking him out.  It all happened so fast.  I had no clue that since it all happened really fast that he was going to be very bruised, it's sad to see, but I am assured that this happens all the time.  He is spending some time in the Level 2 NICU to help get his breathing and oxygen under control.  We have not been able to hold him, which is killing us, but we can see him whenever the NICU is open.
Thank you to everyone for all the love and prayers you have sent our way, it makes us know how blessed we truly are.

All at once

When are things ever really easy?

Yesterday at my 35 week appointment I was put on bed rest because I am a 3+ dilated. A little early yet so she is being cautious. She wants me to make it until at least 37 weeks but isn't sure I will. Makes it really hard to be mommy to an active and apparently very sick little girl. We kept her home from school because she was running a fever (responsible parenting) and we couldn't get it to stay down so I called the Dr and they told me it sounded like strep. O-boy isn't that fun with one parent on bed rest. During the night she started throwing up, apparently this is a side effect of strep. At 4 this morning we washed her bed and then of course ours.
Daddy took her to the doctor this morning and she has textbook strep and is dehydrated. He gave her a shot and a prescription and orders for cold liquids and food. Poor daddy, he is the one who really has it rough here. He is having to do everything we normally do together plus go to work.
Please pray for all of us, but especially Jon!

I will keep you up to date!

Listen? What does that mean?

Happy 30th Birthday to Daddy tomorrow!  We love you so much!!

Juliet isn't just 2 anymore, she is 2 and a half!   (And a total princess in training!!  She likes to say I Pretty!)

I know she can hear us, she just chooses to ignore what we say.  She has also gotten in a bad habit of saying NO to us.  So it's a stubborn streak with a listening problem. YUP she is our kid!

So now that all sets of grandparents are calling me a fibber, here is the sweet stuff that she does.  She sings songs off her shows.  She will sing along when they say "my friends tigger and pooh" she sang along with Tangled tonight when they were saying "now what I see you," and when she is laying in her bed at night she just breaks out in song.  I think last night I heard her make up one that sounded like O Baby Brother.

Juliet helped me make daddy' birthday cake on Saturday while Craig was here.  She had a hand in every part of the process.  Flickr is full of pics documenting that.  We also gave him his Xbox with kinect and they played the dance game.  I thought it was cute that she showed up on the screen.

Sunday we took her to a sibling class at the hospital where I will have Nate.  They showed them how to change a diaper, which she already knew how to do, how to swaddle a baby, which was a learning for mommy too, and how to hold a baby.  Then we went on a tour of the hospital and she got to see 3 newborn babies.  She liked that part best.  She is gonna be a great big sister.

Her newest game she loves to play is to have us build a castle out of blocks then to mow it down with her lawn mower.  It causes lots of smiles and giggles when she knocks your castle down.  We had to go watch the big trucks pour the concrete for the new house being built.  She didn't like the noise, but she did watch them work for a full 15 minutes.  O-yeah, here's a funny, we were going to get the mail and a lovebug landed on her arm.  You would have thought a bee stung her she cried so hard.  I thought we were going to have to go inside.  (sorry grandparents, it was humorous...  I am going to be in so much trouble!)

OK, it is 7:45 and it is time for bed.  Gotta go fight this battle.

VBS 2011

VBS rocked this year, and I don't mean just the music.  Although after a week of working all day then being at the church till late and having a sick and cranky from too little sleep toddler, I am glad it only comes around once a year.  I saw the stats that said there were on average around 150 kids in attendance and on average around 120 volunteers each night!  WOW!
I feel even though Juliet is still very young that she benefited from being there every night.  Here are a few pics to document her experience! (taken with my iphone)

Sneak Peak

Our little man at 31 weeks!  We had a really awesome 4D session at Baby Love Ultrasound.
Of course the entire time he wasn't moving around like he normally does, but we got some fun pics!

It has been a really busy week, with more to come.

Getting ready for church last week, Jon put on his VBS shirt which is exactly the same as mine and Juliet told him "That's Mommy's shirt".  He had to tell her we both had one and she let it go.  This week we had dance on tues, flippers on thurs and splash day on fri, it was a busy week.  Mommy got a gold star! I am the only parent that brought their kid ready for splash day so the teacher didn't have to change her! Go me!!  She likes the t-rex and stegasaures nuggets daddy bought.  Too bad we have 3 bags of the other ones too.
We played hard Sat morning, Juliet played hide and seek in her curtains.  I would say, where's Juliet and she would tell me, here I am.  She helped me make her bed and said I help I help over and over and over again.  She played with her baby like a big sister, we had some mishaps, dropping the baby from the car, putting the baby in a box, holding her upside down to put her shoes on and covering her face with a bib/blanket.  All things that can be overcome with time and practice.  She is going to be an awesome big sister and a great helper.  Juliet knows the ABC song and on the way to Aunt Jessie's this morning she was singing us The Itisy Bitsy Spider.  What a smart girl.
We had our first toy issue today when we got home from church.  We brought out a mat for JT to play on while he and his mommy were here.  I didn't get around to putting it up and Juliet saw it when she got home.  We tried to explain to her that it was a baby toy and she was too big for it.  It caused a screaming fit and a tantrum.  She thinks all toys are hers and doesn't get ages for toys.  Yes, I understand she is still a baby herself and we are working on learning what sharing means.  Things were much better after a nap, although  I wish she would have napped longer.  She was so sleepy when we got home from church and even then it took her an hour to settle down.  She was given a Hello Kitty quilt by Mrs. Jessica Smith at church and had to use it for her nap today.

This week is VBS, I will post about that later!  Have a great week!

Our Life in Pictures

I keep hearing that once the 2nd child gets here I will take less pictures, how would I know what happened in our lives if I didn't have the pictures to look back on and go, o-yeah, I remember that funny or silly moment!  We will see.

Make sure that if you want to know what's going on in our world you check out Flickr.

So I will start this off with our Memorial Day, we had a blast just being together as a family.  We got up and put the flag out then went to feed the ducks in Summerwood.  The ducks were very uncooperative and not hungry.  We fed a few and left for home.  By that time we were hungry, Juliet had chicken nuggets and Jon and I had Genghis Grill.  It was yummy, and since I had never had it before I had so much food, I had a snack later.  It was nap time for all when we got home so I made Juliet a pallet on the love seat and she fell asleep laying there.  We went outside for a little pool time, about an hour, then it was bath and bed time.  Juliet did not feel she needed a bath because she had just had one outside.  Not a chance little girl, but you can have ice cream before bath.  What a fun day we had!
It was hard getting up and going on Tuesday, but thankfully it was a short week for mommy.  Juliet got new shoes that she picked out herself.  They have pink glitter on them so that should explain everything.  Thursday afternoon I left for Canton with Mom and Jess.  We had a really great time even though it was 100 degrees plus while we were there.  I was so glad Jon and Juliet were at home with the AC!    It was so nice, I could talk to Juliet on the phone and on facetime and it didn't seem to bother her that mommy wasn't home.  I could tell Saturday morning she was ready for me to get home, but she never cried when we talked or after.  I got all sorts of fun things for Nathaniel and for Juliet.  The real winner is the broom and dustpan set I picked up on a whim because she tries to use the big one and beats herself and me with it as she tries.
I felt so special when I got home, Jon had my car cleaned inside and out, but the inside was the best surprise!!!  Thanks to my great hubby!
As I sit here typing she is laying in bed singing, Ride the Dinosaur Train, over and over.  Bed time is still a struggle, but she does ok with it.  She wants us to lay with her, but after we leave she is ok within a few minutes.
Tomorrow I have a Dr. appointment and Wednesday we are having an ultrasound done! (Can't wait to see him!!)  Next week is Vacation Bible School then family pictures on that Saturday.  Busy Busy coming up.  Make sure you keep up with Flickr as I said!!

Love to all,
Laura

Thank You

Thank you to those who have served and those who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice so that today I could go feed the ducks with my child, have lunch with her and my husband, read and play puzzles, and play in the pool with her.  Thank you for serving so that I can be free to come and go as I please and to hug and kiss my child every night without fear.  God bless all our service members past, present and those no longer with us, their families.

Wait on me!

When did it become the end of May?  I hope everyone has a happy Memorial Day weekend.  I know I am looking forward to 3 days off.

Juliet's new thing is to tell you to "wait on me". If daddy is going downstairs she will tell him, "No Daddy, Wait on me!" It is really cute and we don't know where it came from.  Telling her we are leaving her is a good way to get her going, she always wants to be where we are.
She has started picking out her own barrettes in the morning. The only thing about them is they never match. This morning one was blue and one was purple. Yesterday it was orange and green. I still pick out the bow so that will match, but I will not fight her on the barrettes.  I have her sit on my stool so I can fix her hair and it works so much better than having her stand where she can move around.
We are trying to get her to stop saying "Right Now", I started it, I know I did, but that is the only way she will do something when I want it done. Well, she thinks it's OK to say to us, not so little girl.  Now if I tell her right now, she tells me don't say right now mommy.
We put in the movie Tangled on Saturday morning to see if she would watch it. She made it about 25 minutes before it lost her interest. I thought that was pretty good!
Don on dinosaur train says la la lu, well Juliet has started saying it too.  She says it really loud too!

Juliet and mommy had water wars tonight!  It started off innocently with going to check the mail, then it was so HOT we couldn't stand it.  Instead of going inside to sit in front of the TV, I got out her water table.  She was playing and having a blast until she realized her shirt was wet.  We came in, changed into our swimmie and went back out.  Well she started splashing and I told her if she splashed me I got to splash her.  She had a moment of shock at the first splash and then it was on!  Mommy doesn't play fair though and she ended up soaked but laughing like a loon.

June is going to be one of those insanely busy months. I never realized how much we have scheduled until I made a list for Jon so he could update his calendar. I am going to Canton with Mom and Jess next weekend. Then we have doctor's appointments, a 4D ultrasound, family pictures, VBS, etc. Plus on top of all of that we need to get going on the baby's room. It still needs to be cleaned out and painted. I am at 29 weeks today and it feels like we have so much to do to get ready for him to arrive.

Count

Juliet can count down from 10 when she gets to one she says blast off or yee-haw depending on the song she is singing!  She is also really good at counting up to 20.
She will sing Gonna ride the dinosaur train!

She is learning our names too in case she gets lost. Now an officer would have to understand her.

Not a lot else going on, enjoying the cool weather before we get blasted with the heat.  Can't play outside though because we have a swarm of bees we are trying to get rid of.  STINKS because the forecast is calling for 90s from now on.

Unexpected but totally needed

Juliet saw me on the playground, grinned, said MY MOMMY, and ran to me smiling the while way.  She got to me, hugged me hard and said I Love You Mommy without any prompting and kissed me on the cheek.  Everything that had gone wrong that day, melted away.

Little moments are the best!

Happy Mother's Day and so much more

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

We ended up staying home Sunday because Juliet was fighting a low grade fever and I didn’t want her in the nursery at church where she could possibly pick up something more.  She and I watched *shocker* Handy Manny, had probably been 6 months of more since she watched that, made a Mother’s Day card for Mommy, and played with our new bubble machine.  Daddy brought home Chipotle for lunch YUMMMM!, and we took a nap, went to Sonic for a slush and cokes, and just had a fun day at home!
Let’s see, what is HRH (her royal highness) up to these days…

She brushes her teeth twice a day. Which consists more of sucking the water out of the brush than actual brushing, but we are getting there.  At least she is excited to brush and not fighting us.
Her new expression is “Wait a minute”.  If she is thinking about or looking for something, excited about something, or we call her and she isn’t ready to come she will tell us “Wait a minute!”
Stools have become her favorite thing because they enable her to do everything herself, including: washing her hands, brushing her teeth, cooking food in the microwave, fixing her wawa juice and turning on and off lights. She even is creative and uses the ice chest as a stool so she can open and close the garage.  I did order more light switch extenders so maybe we can quit climbing on things that like to slide out from under her.

She doesn't like that her swimmie and her leotards cover her belly button. Strange kid likes to be able to see her belly button.  I can't even pull her pants or panties too high or she says don't cover up my belly button mommy and moves them down.  I did buy her a 2 piece swimmie, she likes that too, but will choose her 1 piece more often.
She has gotten so good about saying her prayers.  All we have to do is tell her to say her prayers.
Peek a boo is now peepee boo, and we play it over and over.  She also likes to hunt eggs.  I think she would hunt eggs all day long if we let her.  I also got her a sprinkler to play in.  She likes it as long as it is low enough where it doesn’t squirt her too much.
Potty training is going really good.  She rarely has an accident when she needs to go teetee.  She waves at the paper as it goes down the toilet and says bye bye teetee.  Now on the other hand, she will NOT tell us when she has to go poop.  I found her in the pantry the other day hiding from me.  I got her to the potty in time so that was our 1 ACCIDENT FREE day!!!  We were so proud of her so she got nummies as a treat!
We went to a Derby party at a friend’s house.  There were a lot of adults and kids she didn’t know, but she did so good.  We only had to talk about taking toys from the babies once.  Then she found things to do where the babies weren’t so she didn’t have to worry about that again.  She did however have another 2 year old boy to “play” with.  She has so far to go before she is ready for the share toys stage...
Life around here is never dull!  I am working on sorting clothes to go to the mission.  Should have a full load since I know Nate will not want to wear pink!
This is week 27, only 13 more to go!

Love to all,
Laura

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
Guard me Jesus through the night,

Easter and Panties

I know weird title, but it encompasses what has been going on around here.

We had an awesome Easter weekend.  We started out at Juliet's school Easter egg hunt and party.  It was fun to see the older kids run so fast for the eggs.  Friday she and daddy spent the day together then she went to see Mama and Papa.  They took her to the egg hunt at the Liberty Park where she again enjoyed getting to hunt eggs and had a blast.  We met them to pick her up at Sharky's in Kingwood for a late lunch, it was yummy!  When we got home we dyed eggs.  It could have turned out one of two ways, she loved it or she hated her fingers getting messy... she absolutely loved it.  I think she could have done 3-4 dozen and never tired of it.  She loved watching the eggs turn colors.  Sunday we did her Easter bunny, hunted eggs at home then went to church, she looked absolutely precious in her Easter dress.  After church we headed into Liberty to have lunch with Meme and Poppa at their house.  It was really nice to get to see a lot of the family I haven't seen in a long while.  Then it was time for the egg hunt in Meme's front yard.  Juliet didn't have to leave the front porch and had a basket full of eggs!  We had a fun filled Easter weekend.  Check out the pics on flickr.

Now the panty part of the title.  Juliet's teachers felt it was time for us to bring panties to school because she is doing so good with her potty training.  I had my doubts but I am not there all day.  So Monday I did as instructed and took panties and changes of clothes.  She had 3 accidents on Monday and 3 on Tuesday, she had NO accidents on Wednesday.  She told the teachers every time she needed to go potty.  Mrs. Roach told me she would say it as I need to go potty now.  I am really proud of her.  We hadn't had any accidents at home until tonight.  I asked her twice if she needed to go potty and she told me no potty mommy and then goes and poo poos in her panties.  I was disappointed, but she is learning and has been doing so good.
Today was the first day of dance class at school.  We dressed in our leotard, tights and ballet shoes and headed to school.  She was so happy to have her dance clothes on.  Her teachers told me they didn't think she would go, but when the dance teacher got there and she saw the other girls in their costumes going she wanted to go too.  Mrs. Tutu, the teacher, said she was so excited to see that Juliet really wanted to be in the class.  That makes me feel that I made the right decision enrolling her. It seems that she enjoyed her clothes so much she did not want to change out of them.  She saw all the other girls changing clothes so she decided it was time then, my little priss.

Funny quotes of the week - I a princess (in her own words), Jon where are you? (she yelled this up the stairs when we walked in the house today)

That's all I have for now!
Love, Laura

Short but sweet

Why am I still up?  It is 11pm on a Sunday night, Juliet is asleep, but I just can't seem to settle.  I know it doesn't help that it was almost 10 before she went down tonight.  We have been attending the Song of Solomon bible study at the church.  It runs 6-8pm and tonight was the last night.  We ran long tonight because we did a vow renewal at the end of the course.  That was awesome!  So after getting home late, bath and winding down time, it was way past our bedtime!!  But that is OK, it was a good course.
So onto the newness with Juliet.
We will ask her "Are you done?" she will say "Not yet".
She moved to a new class this week. I was terrified of the transition to the new class because of the attachment she has to Mrs. Turner, I had nothing to worry about, it has been a wonderful transition, which all credit goes to the teachers! Don't get me wrong, we have some rough patches in the mornings, but they handle it well.
She got to try dance class and will start this week. They have dance every Wednesday and they do flippers (gymnastics) every Thursday.  I bought her a dance costume and what a doll she makes in it!  Still have to go get her tap and ballet shoes.  Might have to hide those things at home!!!
We also started learning to say our prayers. We say four words at a time and she repeats what she can back to us.  If she can memorize her nite nite book, she will have no problem with this.
New favorite food is poo pies. French fries. But only the ones from McDonalds and Whataburger because they come in the containers she can hold.  She does not like Chick-Fil-A fries.  They look weird to her.
Daddy taught her how to fill up the water toys in the bathtub. They have fun squirting each other.  He can't complain when she gets him wet, it's his fault!!  Oh and she made me paint her toe nails one morning before class!  I told her I would do it after school, she was "no mommy, paint Juliet toes now!  Pink like mommy's!"  I'm in trouble!!!  Somehow I have gotten her to start saying "I'm a T-Rex", it's pretty cute.  She loves Dinosaur Train so it helps when we are watching it and I point to Buddy and tell her to say it.  She likes to stomp around and say it too!
If you haven't seen the newest addition to the Cozy Coupe, check out flickr, we got her a little wagon that you attach to the car and she can carry her babies around in it.  She hasn't had it long enough to see exactly how much you can put in there, but I did catch her trying to ride in it.
I could go on and on, but I think I am finally getting sleepy, so I am going to call it quits.  Thanks to everyone who called, sent a text or a facebook post wishing me a happy birthday.  I had a really good day!!
