Funnies

We have been playing with Juliet's foam letters in the bath tub.  We stick them to her and she tries her hardest to get them off.  Tonight Jon stuck one to her belly and she pushed her belly in and out until it fell off.  It is really funny.  Will try to get her to do it on video, yes with a diaper on. :)

When you pat the bed to get her to lay down she starts hitting her hand on the bed like we do.  She will lay her head down then sit up quickly.  Thinks it is a fun game to her.

Splash and Giggle Fun

Or bath time as some may call it.

Tonight during her bath we were playing with Juliet's foam letters.  I was spelling out How Now Brown Cow and when I said cow Juliet went MMMM, it's her way of saying MOO.  It was so cute and unexpected.

So of course I have been trying variations to get her to do it.  You have to say cow as the last word.

Piggo

Our little piglet has had an appetite this weekend.  Seems like every time we turn around she wants something to eat.  It's not just yogurt either.  It's cookies (oreos and nilla wafers), crackers, ice cream, meatballs, cheese, plain spaghetti noodles, fruit loops (she puts them in a bowl and eats them with a spoon or just shoves them in by the handful), grapes (this is a new one, I cut them up bite size and give them to her, she ate 2), powerade, (she just stole daddy's powerade), tea but that's nothing new,  and whatever else Mama fed her while we were gone yesterday!  We have gone from eating absolutely nothing to everything we can get her hands on.  I can't seem to fill her up and she is cranky because she is hungry.

Example, she just went into the pantry and brought me a jar of food and she is still hungry.  She needs to eat big people food that baby food is doing nothing for her.

Mouth Full

Juliet is 16 months old.  I can't believe it.  She is so much fun.  Such a lovebug.

Number 7 tooth made it's appearance last night or today.  We are calling it today on the tooth chart.  Guessing that is why we had a bad night last night.  Daddy had the right idea, sleep in the guest room.  We finally got her to make an animal sound, other than woof woof.  She will now moo, or something like it.  It's more of a mmm but she is trying.

If you are wondering about the work list, as she says new words I will update the post and change the date so it jumps to the top, you won't miss anything.

Juliet is being treated for strep again, he didn't actually do the test, but all the signs and symptoms are there so that is what he is going with.  He said she is a happy growing baby and that we are doing a good job raising her.  He is happy with her growth and development and is not worried at all about her giving up milk.  Says alot of babies do it.  Of course he wanted to know when we are planning on having another one.  There is not an answer so don't ask.  Did I tell you that Juliet went to work with me on Friday.  She stayed in my office and played with everything I have in there.  Pulled out all the drawers and  emptied everything in them onto the floor.  Then turned an entire box of Frosted Flakes out onto the floor.  We went to the doctor from there.  I think she behaved beautifully and I actually got work done.

Watch the video on Flickr of her sliding down on her tummy.  My little fearless one... Unless of course daddy puts bubbles in my bath, I will scream like they burn me.
We can't figure it out!
I went shopping at the outlets on 290 with Jessica Ridley Daigle today.  I use both names for those who don't know her married name.  I got my birthday gift from Mom and Tim.  I love Coach outlet and will never shop a retail store again for a bag.  This place is awesome and even gave a 20% coupon as we walked in.  That is a very nice outlet if you haven't been.  I suggest going before noon as that is when it gets mega busy and hot.

Love to all!
Laura

PS - Why is she crying, it is after 11 she should be sound asleep.  Go to sleep Juliet!!

Happy Birthday Mommy

Today is my 31st birthday.  It has been awesome.  I took the day off work and spent the day being lazy.  Last night we met Mama at Pappa's Seafood and had a yummy pre-birthday dinner.  I love birthdays, I celebrate for a while.  Jon got up early today and went to Best Buy to get us a new washer and dryer using the rebate program.  He surprised me when he got home by buying the red ones that I wanted.  FUN!!  Juliet woke up early but didn't really want to get out of bed so we snuggled.  I told her, "tell Mommy happy birthday" and she grabbed my face and gave me a kiss.  Is there any better way to start a day?  I was able to get in for a facial this morning and that was awesome.  Jon and I spent the afternoon playing WII and baking a birthday cake.  Tonight we had green tomatillo chicken enchiladas.  Tomorrow night we are going to Kirby's Steakhouse for a special dinner.  I am so loved.

I love her laugh & tooth #6

It is so infectious and loud.  She has such a great laugh and loves to laugh.  She also thinks daddy is really funny.

It is so great to hear since we have been fighting tooth #6 that came in today!  She has been really cranky all weekend, hasn't slowed her down any, just made sleeping fun.

Sullivan Birthday Weekend

We left for Frisco around 8 Friday night which put us pulling up around midnight, this is after I came home at 11 with a very bad migraine that hit out of no where.  It was a long trip but Juliet slept from right past 59 on the Beltway until we parked in front of the house.  Then it was a 2 and a half hour scream fest until she calmed down again.  I didn't get much sleep because the littlest Clements thinks she needs to sleep sideways.  We did get to sleep until 8 Saturday morning.  Then it was off to the races.  Juliet inherited a PowerWheels 4 wheeler that is battery powered and you press a button to make it go forward.  Madison only had to show her once and she learned that big red button made her toy go forward.  She stayed stuck most of the time, but I do not think it will take her long to learn to steer.  She would run into something and look around and say Uh-Uo.  That was the word of the weekend.  I felt so sorry for the dog because I think Juliet aimed for her sometime and the dog is old and can't get out of the way.  She is such a sweet dog and let JC pet all over her and never said a word.

Sullivan had a t-ball game in the morning and then we had his birthday party in the afternoon.  Juliet enjoyed watching Sullivan play ball.  She ran around like a normal kid until the game started, scraped her knee, then sat on the bleachers with me while the game was being played and ate her lunch and cookie.  After the game it was a mad dash for lunch and to get ready for the party.  I forget very quickly how loud 5 and 6 year old kids are.  I think he had a really nice party though.  Juliet still will not eat cake, but don't leave her out of ice cream!!  Harrison and Bryce stayed the night and Madison had Grace over so it was a full house and the girls let Juliet play with them and even tried to interact with her some.  It was sweet of them to try.  I was rewarded with sushi for dinner so the day wasn't a loss for me. :)

After the party Jon, Darrell and Sullivan went to the FC Dallas Soccer game.  All over the stadium it gives you a number to call for tickets.  Well it is wrong and it sends you to a recording that sends you to another number, not a nice number either.  The way the woman talked made Juliet giggle, which cracked us up.  I think the guys had a good time.  It was a nail biter at the end.

Poor Juliet is working on another tooth and has been sleeping with us because she will not calm.  Well she got a little wild last night and fell out of the bed.  She must have hit something because she has a nice black eye now.  Tomorrow is going to be fun explaining to the school.

The wildflowers were beautiful on the drive home and if we would have been just us I would have stopped but we were all ready to get home.  I send my camera off tomorrow to get worked on.  Lovely...  Well off to bed, Juliet is asleep and so should I be.

Love to all

Something New

Jon has taught Juliet how to dive into her ball pit.  He also made the mistake of sharing his Thin Mints, she loved them, she also loves Oreos, but then who doesn't?  She dances so much more, really getting into the groove, and will turn on Jon's alarm to hear it play music just so she can dance.  She knows where her belly button and her foot are and we are working on her hand and ears.

She only gives you kisses when she is in the mood too, and the other night she was very into it.  She would lay really close to me and I would kiss her cheek, nose, or forehead, even her feet and she would take my face and pull it to her face to get the kisses she wanted.  Then she would pull my face close to her to give me kisses.  She is too stingy with her kisses for my liking,

3 carton a day habit

Juliet is now up to 3 cartons of yogurt a day, 2 at school and 1 before bed.  Jon is going to need a second job to afford this habit before long.  :)

Happy Easter weekend

Juliet started out Friday getting to sleep in a little and stay home with daddy since the daycare was closed. Unfortunately it didn't last since she had a doctor appointment and had to have 4 shots. She ended up with a bruise on one arm and a red rash on both arms but that seems to be gone today. She and Jon picked me up for lunch and we went to Freebirds. She was so tired that she slept in daddy’s arms all thru the line and on my chest the whole time we were eating. Didn’t bother me any, I got snuggle time.

Saturday started with Mama meeting us at the house and we went to an Easter egg hunt at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. It was a beautiful day for an egg hunt, but they had a puppet show before the hunt that lasted 45 mins or longer and we lost interest in that very quickly. It was sunny and hot and I got worried about her getting a sunburn so we left before the hunt began, she did get eggs and candy, just before everyone else. You could tell that all the little ones lost interest in the puppets quickly. She did capture the attention of a Houston Chronicle photographer and made her way onto Chron.com in the Woodlands section.

Saturday night Mrs. Jessica came over to play with Juliet and after a little while Juliet remembered just who Mrs. Jessica was and the playing was on. We ordered pizza and Juliet ate a thin crust square for herself.

Sunday we went to church and ended sitting outside so she could play. She has been sick so I didn’t want to put her in the nursery. Much to my dismay they brought out the buggy and took her class on a buggy ride, she wanted to go so bad. After the class was done, I put her in the buggy and pushed her around for a while so she did get to ride.

After church we headed into Liberty for lunch at Meme and Pappa’s. Juliet got to play with Drew. They are so much the same it is funny. Juliet is so much more aggressive than Drew and tried to take toys from him. We had to correct her a few times, but most of the time, he took up for himself. We have noticed that Juliet likes small dogs and she chased Crash all over the yard. She likes the way they feel and he is all too willing to let her pet him. She got to show off her egg gathering skills before mommy made her go stand in the bluebonnets for pictures. I did manage to get some cute ones before the flash on my camera quit working.

We left and went over to Mama and Papa’s to play for a little while. Mama took Juliet while mommy and daddy took a nap. They let the ball swing for a while then they decided to have a picnic on the back patio. What fun, anything to be outdoors. They noticed the kids across the street had kites and she had to go check that out. They walked over to watch the kite tails and ended up playing on their slide.

We left for home around 5:30 and Juliet slept, she was so tired and cranky that she did not even play in her bath. We tried to get her to go to sleep early, didn’t happen, but she did sleep all night. Was such a bear this morning I wish I could have left her sleeping.

She has learned that Minnie and Mickey are a pair. Where there is one, there should be the other. Mrs. Rosa told us on Thursday not to bring bottles anymore. We were to only bring cups for her to drink milk from. OH boy, just remembering the paci fiasco.

Going to Dallas this weekend for Sullivan's birthday party.

No Crying She Makes

So after 3.5 hours of crying and ultimately sleeping on her nap mat in bed with mommy forcing daddy to sleep in the other room last night, Juliet had no problems going to sleep tonight, asleep before 8:30p.  I am hoping evil tooth is in far enough that it isn't causing her a lot of pain tonight.

Today was her Easter party at school.  They had a small egg hunt that since she was the oldest in the class she was one of the only kids that participated.  Most of the other children are not walking yet.  They would sit and play with one of the eggs that the teachers gave them or would just crawl around.

I have started letting Juliet walk into school in the mornings.  When we get inside I let her help open the door and then walk into her class on her own.  It makes her teachers laugh and helps with the separation that I am not holding her.  I notice more and more everyday how much older she is than the other kids so I know that soon we will be leaving that class.  School is closed tomorrow so Juliet is staying home with daddy while mommy works.  They are going to go get shots, 3 of them. YUCK

Another egg hunt and puppet show in the Woodlands on Saturday then lunch after church on Sunday with Meme and Pappa, then going to Mama and Papa's to see them for a while.
