I get this question a lot, and yes it is harder with two, it's not double the work, it's more. We have a very active toddler and a newborn.
We have noticed a slide backwards in Juliet over the last week or so. She has regressed in her bedtime routine and is very hard to wake up in the morning and over the last day or so has been having potty issues. She doesn't seem to want to tell us she needs to go. She is very "I need my mommy daddy" and that gets hard when we are trying to take care of the baby or get her settled for the night. We are trying to give her the one on one attention she needs without letting her run the show.
Nate is a very finicky eater. One bottle he will take 4 ozs and sleep or stare at you for 3 hours and the next he will take 1 and be up every hour only taking 1 oz at a time. He wants to be held or laying very close to you. He has also learned what his voice is and that it usually makes someone come and get him. He is also a spitter, you never know when he is going to throw up on you. Nine times out of ten if you are dressed ready to walk out the door you will be changing your clothing. Oh yeah, and he likes his thumb!
It is taking some time to get used to having an infant in the house again, and our good little girl is giving us a run for our money now, but we are going to survive this. She will learn that her position has not been taken, it just has to be shared.
