Big Girl Bed

Today was a huge day for Miss Juliet.  She took one more step in the direction from baby to big girl!  She moved from her crib to her full size bed!
I thought she was going to have issues when Jon started taking her crib apart, but she acted like nothing was wrong and it was the most natural thing in the world for her bed to be taken apart.  (No love lost for the crib)  She was so excited when the men brought in the new mattresses.  We had to stop her from climbing on them before they were even set on the bed.  She climbed right up and started running from the top to the foot of the bed.  Jon and I both got in and laid down next to her and explained that this is where she was going to sleep now.  She thought it was a fun game.  She will get in the bed at the top of the rail and out of the bed at the bottom.
It was all fun and games until it was time to go to bed, then she got a little stressed and upset.  I waited it out about 5 minutes before I went in and laid down with her.  It only took about 45 minutes of squirming and crawling all over me for her to settle down and go to sleep.  I figure this will be the routine for a few weeks and then she will be back to sleeping on her own.
When we get her new bedding in from North Carolina where Granma and Granddad found it today, we will post updated pictures!!  Make sure and check flickr for videos from tonight's fun!

But for now, Good Night, Sweet Dreams, I Love You Doodlebug, sleep tight!
